I had the pleasure to attend the luxury wedding event, "A Chic Affair" at the Longview Gallery. What a lovely event. In attendance were some of the top wedding vendors in the Washington metropolitan area. I mean who knew that there was an amazing wedding venue tucked away in the Newseum where Wolfgang Puck Catering will create your wedding fare? I know now.
One of my favorite vendors was MK Catering. Not only was the food delicious but the presentation was beyond words. Their booth was drenched in orange goodness from the decor right down to the mini cupcakes.
There was plenty of good eats all around. I had something delish at the Main Event Catering booth, and at the Purple Onion booth. But the best goodies were from Treet Bakery - Oh Em Gee - Eco-friendly treats made with love by a woman who put the "G" in green. She is so committed to the eco-friendly cause that all her "treets" are packaged in 100 recycled paper and delivered in an eco-friendly car. That's what I call true commitment. Unfortunately, I didn't get to sample anything from Fluffly Thoughts Cakes but their cakes looked amazing.
There were some amazing floral arrangements by Park Florist, who along with Treet, are totally committed to going green. I also loved the floral arrangements by Pupa Flowers and Weddings. They displayed a lovely floral arrangement on top of a beaded pillow. Fabulous.
If you need a little help getting into your dress, you may want to check out Ardyss. They have shapewear products that promise to drop you down a few dress sizes as well as nutritional products to help with your weight goals.
There was also the fabulous and talented Julianne Smith. Julianne Smith is one of the top garter designers in the bridal biz. I was so loving her Chicago Cubs garter (the sports fan in me took over). She is about to launch her couture garter line in a few weeks. So exciting. Check out her web site for more information on the launch date.
Another vendor that stopped me in my tracks was LauraLee Designs. Her handmade bags were to die for. The craftsmanship and the creativity that goes into each of her bags is phenomenal. Such a fab edition to your bridal ensemble. You can design your bag to match your wedding colors.
I also met three amazing photographers - the charming Alexander from Photography by Alexander, the also charming duo from Rodney Bailey Photography and the lovely and talented Jamie Suthard from Borrowed Blue. All photography companies display amazing photographs but I was especially in love with Borrowed Blue's engagement photo that was printed on metal and pieced together to make a larger photo (see image below).
Of course, I can not forget the way fab jewelry by Witchypoo. All of the bling that you can stand at affordable prices. What more do you want?
To top of the afternoon, Carine’s Bridal Atelier put on a phenomenal fashion show of the most amazing bridal gowns that I have seen in some time. To add a very special touch, there was beautiful eye candy sans shirts abound. It was a little hard to focus on the dresses :-)
Check out my fab pics and visit these vendors for more information.
