Wedding Gown Preservation - Compare prices and methods By Donald Clifton One of your most precious memories of your wedding is your wedding dress. You will have your photo albums, perhaps some dried flowers, but what about your dress? If you want to preserve your wedding dress for a daughter or granddaughter to wear, or for the 5th anniversary, or just remember watching that day, it is important that it be allowed. Without preserving your wedding gown may deteriorate, stains or develop effective change color over time. It is important to ask, or a bunch of questions or the methods of the company to ensure that your dress will be beautiful for years to come. Some brides think that the closure of their dress in a plastic bag and hung in their wardrobe is all that is needed. Some companies charge $ 500 for cleaning and preserving a wedding gown. All wedding dresses get dirty. No mater how much are they married hem drags the ground or floor is dirty. Even if an anti-perspirants is used, it will always be under-arm problems, some visible some not. Make-up can easily transfer them to dress when taking on or off. Another area on the upper bodice of the dress that was rubbing against your chest may also be a problem. Beware of companies that are not wholly or give you detailed information on their methods, you can not trust that your dress will be properly cared for or treated properly.  First, when the dress arrives in the company, it must be carefully inspected part. The hem, the arm-pits, and at the top of the bodice part, should be specially cleaned. After the other parts of the dress are inspected for stains, these stains should be removed. This May take various cleaning depending on the stain.Your wedding dress should then go through an appeal process and anti-sugar. This step is to ensure that any spot with sugar substance, such as cake icing, wine, soda or withdrawn and will not turn yellow later. Dry cleaning fluids did not affect sugar and unless this step is to take the sugar will stain and turn yellow later. The next step is to dry clean the dress. It's called "dry cleaning" because the cleaning fluid is not water. It may be a variety of different special cleaning liquids. After dry cleaning the dress must be filled dried. The dress must be re-inspected again to make sure that all stains have been removed and the cleaning process has been totally effective. After inspection of your wedding gown should be pressed against a steam and hand. The dress is then pressed on a bust form to form the bodice of the dress. Any area neede, shoulders, sleeves, the bust will be "stuffed" with acid-free tissue. The dress is then placed in an acid-free box with a display (so you can see the bodice of the dress). Make sure the box, and is acid-free tissue. Regular cardboard boxes and tissues can react chemically with the fabric of the dress over time and cause discoloration and / or deterioration. The box should be placed in a shipping box and return to you. Avoid companies that do not provide each of these steps. Also avoid any company that seals your dress in a box. Sealing can retain moisture that can cause mold to form and ruin your wedding dress. |

Plus Size Wedding Dress Or Plus Size Wedding Gown, Are They Both the Same Thing?

Nowadays, a plus size wedding gown is as common as any size wedding gowns. Any plus size woman can actually shop for one right off the cart, both online and on site. A lot of designs can be found at your local bridal boutiques and shops that are size 14 a 16 or larger. Even regular bridal boutiques have plus size wedding gowns in their collection.
A lot of bridal boutiques that are dedicated to plus size wedding garments sell gowns that specially cater to plus size brides. The Internet too is an excellent place to look for information on plus size wedding gowns. One can browse through the available sites by typing in keywords and order online or locate their stores and designers and set up appointments to visit their shop.
You can have certain styles altered to suit your specific taste. Finding the perfect wedding gown can take time and it would do you good to give it ample time. You will also have to work within your budget and of course, those accessories.
Generally, a good tip in finding your perfect plus size wedding gown is to find out what designs and style will look good on you. The A-line dresses will flatter your already voluptuous figure while a V-shaped neckline will flatter your frontal upper body. A full ballroom skirt would tend to make you look bulkier and a tea length dress can make appear squatty.
Try putting on several gowns. Take into account that you will be most of the time during the ceremony standing in front and people will get to see more of your back. Try putting on gowns even they do not look real appealing on the shelf. It may stunningly perfect on you. Also, consider the place where the wedding is to take place. Very long or larger gowns can be unwieldy in confined areas.
The fabrics and styles should also be considered. Different fabrics and styles will be needed for a winter and a different one for a summer ceremony. For summer weddings, light fabrics like a lace or chiffon and silk are ideal. For weddings that fall on cooler or colder climate, brocades or velvet and satin are some of the recommended choices. Fabrics and style will also have to be considered with type of wedding such as formal or semi-formal and casual.
As always, bigger is always better when it comes to dresses and wedding gowns are no exception. Since it will be some time before the wedding, it will be smart to get a gown that is at lease one or two size higher since it will be easier to trim it down or give room if that should be the case.
